Incredible, I've been googling this for years. I was convinced the title was "Billy Ghost Bowling" since i remembered ghosts being present. The soundtrack takes me back! I played this on a Macintosh circa 1994.

Classic arcade game, one of my favorites from the era. The science fiction premise is stylish and the eight-directional shooting with two joysticks certainly gives a unique gameplay. It's also very grim in tone, if you think about it: It's pretty much inevitable gameplay-wise that some of the humans you're trying to rescue will get killed by the Hulks (the one enemy unit that is impossible to kill), and of course being an early '80s arcade game you play until you run out of lives, in which case it's game over. So basically, the grim message of inevitable failure to protect the human race is written all over the game.

This reminds me a little of an indie game called Forget-Me-Not, and it makes me wonder if an Atari 8-bit or 5200 version could be made, that would be great. Thanks for sharing!

In the original game, you can wait "inside" the tunnel, where the bogeys can't get you. Go into the tunnel, and while you're invisible, press up.

J'y ai passé des heure sur ce jeu avant l'arrivée de la snes. Et je n'aurai jamais imaginé que le niveau bleu avec des montagnes blanches représentait un milieu aquatique avec mine et sous-marin. Autre détail de l'époque, j'avais la colecovision mais je désirais l'atari 2600 sûrement a cause de leur publicité bien faite alors que la colecovision était 2 fois plus rapide, les jeu étaient plus beaux et la manette bien qu'elle avait une ergonomie douteuse elle possédait 2 boutons latéral distinctes contrairement a celle d'atari qui n'avait qu'un bouton. Donc la coleco était techniquement bien supérieure.

The fact that My Arcade can make mini arcade machines/pocket players of recognizable arcade games like Pac-Man, Galaga, Mappy, etc. and make consoles/handhelds of obscure shovelware that has like 220 fricking games at the same time is truely an intresting move.
